A life long SA Bandsman, never a "star" but (I hope) a willing and adaptable member of the all bands that I have served.
I was a founder member of Portchester School band under the influence of Ken Cook, Tom Ponsford & L. Caisley. Transferred from
Pokesdown to Poole in the 1960s on obtaining employment at UKAEA Winfrith.

|
Among the highlights of my banding has been to play at the Royal Albert Hall BM's Councils
on three occasions - firstly BM Tom Attiwell (Poole), secondly under BM Alwyn Green (Poole) and finally under BM Geoff Otter at Boscombe.
|
| Another highlight has been the thrill of three tours with Boscombe band, all on Solo Horn, to Sweden and Florida
with BM Otter and to America/Minneapolis/Canada with BM Garry Lawrence
|
| Now currently enjoying the peace and relative calm of the 1st Horn bench and, when band engagements permit,
visiting our home in France with my wife Christine and our daughter Emma.
