Tour Highlights

The band are now just about fully recovered from the tour and last night were back rehearsing for the concert next week in Christchurch Priory with Les Neish (tuba) - tickets for that event are available from Derek Kittle. (or phone him on 01202 420410)

A comprehensive report on the tour will appear on the scandinavian tour page in due course (and of course you can read Kevin's blog which has received critical acclaim for keeping everyone up to date with our whereabouts). You can also view the tour repertoire - this lists all the music we played in the indoor concerts and services, but does not include what we played on the march and in the openair concerts.

oslo march

During our nine days in Scandinavia we visited three countries, gave eight concerts, led two services, had four marches through town centres, four outdoor concerts and travelled almost 1200 miles. It wasn't just the band who were travelling - many people travelled a long way to hear us - from Stockholm to Gothenburg; four hours on a train to Drammen from Kristiansand; three quarters of an hour on a flight to Trondheim.

As always on an adventure like this the band themselves received much blessing and we would like to publicly thank all who made the trip happen - especially Major Jan Harald Hagen (the Territorial Music Secretary) and our wonderful driver, Bo Jennesjö, who ensured we were always in the right place at the right time.
