The Birthday Party

What a great party it was - with lots of guests, great fellowship, good music, good food and - most importantly of all - a tremendous sense of giving thanks to God for all that this band has done in the last 125 years.

Back Again

Summer is almost over and there has been a dearth of activity on this news page - the reason should be plain now. The page has been updated into a blog format so that it will be easier to keep everyone informed of what is happening. You will also notice that the repertoire page has been reworked and that Kevin's Tour Blog has been incorporated into this site. They can both be accessed from the menu on the right.

The Band are currently enjoying a relatively quiet couple of weeks before we start working hard for all of the autumn engagements. Since the last entry in this news page we have completed our summer bandstand series (see the repertoire page for the programmes) and also taken part in the annual songs of praise at Keyhaven where all records were broken when almost 500 people attended on that Sunday Evening.

Coming up soon is our 125th anniversary weekend and we hope that many of you will be able to join us for that.

First Bandstand

Our first bandstand of the season. The programme can be found on our repertoire page. Good crowd down in Bournemouth Gardens on a nice summer's evening.

Summer at the Priory

Great concert tonight with Les Neish in Christchurch Priory. The programme was based on what we had been performing whilst on tour - with the obvious addition of solos from Les - and a touch of Wagner to conclude the opening half. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and it was great for the Band to bring this concert back home after taking it round Scandinavia.
